Bridging the Gap is a program through Alcoholics Anonymous to help people leaving a correctional or treatment facility to become acquainted with A.A. and attend A.A. meetings in their hometown after they are released.
When a patient or person recently released from a treatment facility, or correctional facility, and wants help, we offer them the opportunity to Bridge the Gap with a member of Bridge The Gap who will personally contact them directly and help them connect with an AA member who can understand and offer to attend AA meetings together. We have Bridge The Gap volunteers available to help. If you would like to be a Bridge the Gap volunteer, please fill in the volunteer information form to join. The minimum sobriety requirement is one year to volunteer at this time. We always match the person asking for a 12-Step call with someone of the same gender identification, so be sure to specify.
You’ll be contacted by the BTG Coordinator who will send you a Welcome Packet and information about BTG Orientation Workshops in Area 14.
Note: We must have your name, gender, zip code, telephone number, and email address or we will not be able to add you to the list.
